In order to get a side-by-side refrigerator, I had to cut out half of a cabinet, because the refrigerator needed a half inch to fit. I say half a cabinet because I didn't need to cut out the upper shelf's cabinet bracket holes. So, that is a normal shelf. Also, I removed the 2 cabinet doors above the refrigerator, it is much easier to use the space up there now. Those black doors are stacked up there if anyone would like to put them back.
